Whisky and castle tour (approx 4 hours)
1. The Macallan Distillery
A visit to one of the world’s most famous Scottish malt whisky distilleries gives an insight into the unique history of The Macallan. The curiously small copper spirit stills are famously known for being the smallest on Speyside and for appearing on the back of the Bank of Scotland £10 note.
While in Craigellachie it is worth visiting the only working Cooperage in the UK. Watch the traditional Coopers using ancient skills to fashion the best American oak into some of the finest whisky maturation casks in the world. These exceptional oak casks form the single greatest contributor to the outstanding quality, distinctive aroma, flavour and natural colour of whisky.
2. Castle Fraser, Inverurie

One of the grandest Castles of Mar, Castle Fraser was built between 1575 and 1636 by the 6th laird of Fraser and is known for its strikingly simple Great Hall. Take a stroll through the secluded walled garden and enjoy a refreshment in the tearoom. Children will love the adventure playground with its giant xylophone and bamboo snake walk.
