Five (5) Tips on Staying Safe during Christmas

  • Plan your movement and inform your family of your destination and what time you plan to be back. Give them every detail so that they know where to find you in case of an emergency.
  • Do not walk alone at night. Thieves are aware that people have a huge amount of money with them during this festive period; so they seize this chance and double their work. Remember, safety comes first. If you don’t have a choice, walk where there is light. Message your family and friends back at home too to inform them of your whereabouts.
  • If you have booked an Aberdeen taxi service in advance, stay in a well-lit area for the driver to come. The front of a mall or a restaurant or anywhere safe is recommended.
  • Be careful when carrying your smartphone, handbag, or tablet in populated areas. Keep them safe and close to you at all times.
  • Handle your Christmas shopping and do not leave it unattended, especially alone in your car.
  • Do not drink and drive. During the Christmas celebration, be careful not to exceed your limit. It is very easy to stay safe during the Christmas celebration when you know what to do.
