Aberdeen Events January 2022

There are still some great Aberdeen Events in January going ahead even with the increasing of restrictions in Scotland.

The First Minister cancelled all of Scotland’s large-scale New Year’s Eve celebrations due to the new Omicron variant of Covid.

Rules mean that Hogmanay at Aberdeen venues will now be a very different affair. Bars, restaurants and hotels will be required to limit customer numbers as well as ensuring the social distancing of revellers.

So, Hogmanay may on the quiet side again, but fingers crossed some of the great January events planned in Aberdeen will still go ahead.

Here is Aberdeen Taxis’ roundup of the best Aberdeen events in January 2022.

New darling of BBC Radio 6 Hamish Hawk makes his way to The Tunnels this January to share his troubadour stylings with the city. The Scot is being touted as the ‘next big thing’ and his singles are getting more and more airplay as the year goes on. If you don’t know his work, check out his single ‘THE MAURITIAN BADMINTON DOUBLES CHAMPION, 1973’ and try and tell me he’s not a proper singer-songwriter of some note. Think The Divine Comedy and you’ll be close to the sound and style of the Edinburgh lad’s offerings.
