After a Covid-induced hiatus, Grampian Pride is back on 28th May 2022! Aberdeen Taxis takes a look at the day’s schedule!
The event is back to bring the local LGBT+ community and its allies together to celebrate.
The theme for this year’s LGBT+ Pride event will be a ‘just be yourself’ message! You’re encouraged to show up and celebrate yourself as well as everyone else in the community and associated with it.
This Saturday the 28th of May, the streets of Aberdeen will be a rainbow of colours, flags and beautiful people representing all parts of the LGBT+ community.
Aberdeen Taxis has the lowdown on what’s happening on the day!
Pride Parade
11:00am – 12:00pm
The parade begins at 11 am from Holburn Junction (Albyn Place) and will end at Marischal College at around noon. The wonderful Annie Wallace (best known for portraying Sally St. Claire in Hollyoaks) will be leading the parade.
Queuing for the parade starts at 9 am, so be sharp if you want to be near the front as there is expected to be a great turnout this year.
Pride Village
1:00pm – 8:00pm
Have your wristband ready for the hijinks planned in the Pride Village at Beach Boulevard.
The Village has tons going on:
Main stage – 2013 X Factor UK finalist Sam Callahan will be headlining from 4 pm, and various local artists entertaining will be during their bit to entertain the masses until 8 pm.
Over 30 charities will be in the village providing freebies, advice, information and activities.
Outdoor bar, Tiki Tent, and various food stalls. Music from DJ Jan Schofield, brings you the big tunes to make Pride the place to be!
Bouncy Castle, children’s play area, storytime, and much more for the whole family

The LGBT+ Pride event is organised entirely by volunteers and all money raised for the event goes back into putting together a fun-filled FREE family day where the community can remember its history, celebrate the present & embrace the future as a community.
The Official Grampian Pride Afterparty
Unit 51 in Aberdeen
